One way I like to use the whole language approach in my classroom
is through a writing program called Writer's Workshop. In Writer's
Workshop children are given the freedom to create their own personal
stories. The teacher then uses the child's story to help the child
develop better writing skills. The writing process is important
in the education of our students because of the natural link between
writing and reading. Below you will find an example of one of my
students' published Writer's Workshop story.
